The Summer Project of the Landesjugendsinfonieorchester Hessen (LJSO) will take place from 1st to 12th August in Schlitz. The orchestra employing the young talented artists of Hessen Province comes together three times a year in order to master some of the most important and challenging works of the symphonic repertoire within the framework of a two-week intensive course. The artistic leader of the orchestra is Nicolás Pasquet, professor of the conducting department of the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar. This year the rehearsals will be followed by five concerts, of which Gábor Hontvári assistant conductor is going to lead the concert in Saalburg in July 19th, performing the works of C. Franck, R. Glière and M. Ponce. You can find more details about the project and the concerts in the calendar or here.
